You must go! Food is delish. Go hungry so you can try the empandas and an entree and dessert too. Recommend the Jesus Cake and I loved the jerk chicken. I want to try the cuban next time. The owner/staff are so great. They're exceeding expectations. Love that we have a spot like this in B'ham.

So delicious and flavorful! I loved it! Me and my friends were in town for a convention and decided to try to eat some good Latin food on a Monday before we head back outta town. I just want to say the front counter girl and the chef were both very friendly! And the food was amazing! Very flavorful!! I had wanted a certain dish to try, but it was still cooking. So I got something else which was amazin btw! And before we left, she brought out a few samples of the first dish I originally wanted, just so we could try it. How awesome is that? Truly a great experience! Great customer service! We will be back at next years convention. So we will be back :) thank you again!!

This was my first visit here with a friend..she loves the place and I just had to see what the hype was about. I must say this won't be my last!!! Everything about this place is amazing starting with the food on down to the service. There was literally nothing but the bowl and utensils left on the plate..lol..Thank you Miami Fusion for a delicious lunch.

Fantastic option for Cuban cuisine in Birmingham. After trying to make it here several weekend-starts in a row, I was finally able to give it a go, and was not disappointed at all. My selected dishes included mofongo (pork), an empanada, and rice & black beans, and everything was delicious (with the exception (sadly) of the empanada, which tasted a bit off - almost like the pastry wasn't fresh or was frozen). Considering the taste of the rest of the meal though, I'd hope the latter was just an anomaly and not a norm. The restaurant is on the smaller side and is located in the heart of downtown, so considering that with regards to Friday night dinner crowd expectations, it wasn't very busy; probably a reflection of the location moreso than popularity though. All in all, I enjoyed trying it out for the first time, and am looking forward to heading back here to try some additional new flavors and dishes.

I tried another restaurant like this one when visiting Birmingham and was greatly disappointed. But Miami Fusion Cafe fixed that craving I had for black beans and rice. The steak and onions were well seasoned, too.

Absolutely delicious Puerto Rican food! Was so good I inhaled a third of it before taking a picture to brag to family about this local gem. Leftovers for dinner were just as good!

Update 09-14-20 So we stopped by Miami Fusion Cafe today while in downtown Birmingham. Thought we would give them a try. Nice, clean dining room with modern digital menu. Was greeted by the owners daughter who took our order and was very polite! I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and fries. The steak was moist and well seasoned. Came with generous toppings of cheese, onions, red and green peppers. Bun was warm and fresh. Fries were fried crisp and hot. Wife got the pork plate with red beans and rice. Meat was moist and warm, needed just a touch of salt for my taste. Red beans and rice had nice flavor. Side salad was great!! Not sure if the type of dressing, had a hint of lemon but loved it! Fried plantains were the star of the show! Crisp outside, moist and sweet in the inside. A must have for your visit. Only downside were that prices had gone up $1 per plate due to COVID and food cost. Overall, very impressed, highly suggest you stop by if your in the area! Previous review: Miami café's food truck was scheduled to come to our neighborhood tonight. But they were a no-show. No notice. Would love to try their menu but I guess I'll have to wait until another day.
